People know me now as a businessman and investor — but for four years, a lot of people knew me first as the bloke on the sofa next to Ferne McCann. Our family life was filmed for ITV, and letting the cameras in changed me in ways I never expected.

Ferne and I got together in 2021. By then her show — Ferne McCann: First Time Mum — had already been running on ITVBe for years, following her journey as a mum to her daughter Sunday. When I came into the picture, our life became part of that story too. In September 2023 it was rebranded to Ferne McCann: My Family & Me — and that title said it all.

The bits the cameras caught

The big moments. Getting engaged in 2022. The arrival of our daughter Finty in July 2023. Building a rhythm as a blended family — me, Ferne, Sunday and then Finty, all figuring it out together. Some of it was joyful, some of it was hard, and none of it was scripted.

What it taught me

Reality TV gets an easy kicking, but I learned more about myself in those four years than in almost any boardroom. It taught me to own my story — the good and the messy — and that vulnerability isn't weakness, especially as a dad and a partner. The show ended in 2024, and I'm grateful for every bit of it.

I didn't grow up with faith. My early years were spent on a council estate with a tough upbringing, and for a long time I was searching for something to fill the gaps — chasing success, achievement, the next thing.

In 2025 I came to faith and was baptised. It changed my world dramatically. The striving that used to drive me has softened into something steadier. Where there was noise, there's now a sense of peace I'd never known before.

What faith gives me

It's reordered my priorities — God, family and health first, and everything else built on top of that foundation. It doesn't make life perfect or easy, but it gives me a centre to return to. I'm walking with Jesus now, and it's the best decision I've ever made.

I share this openly because I know what it's like to feel lost, and if my story helps one person feel less alone, it's worth telling.

Over the past three years I've done hundreds of podcasts, 1-1 sessions and live talks — on stages of every size, from intimate rooms right up to audiences of thousands. It's a strange and powerful thing, standing in front of a crowd and being honest about where you've come from.

Why I did it

My message was never about pretending to have it all figured out. It was about resilience — about coming from a hard start and choosing, again and again, to build something better. If sharing the lows as openly as the highs helped someone take their next step, then it did its job.

Speaking taught me to hold a room, to be vulnerable in public, and to turn lived experience into something useful for other people. Those are muscles I still use every day — in the boardroom, in coaching, and as a dad.

I grew up on a council estate, and it wasn't easy. A tough upbringing teaches you things school never can — how to read a room, how to graft, how to keep going when things are stacked against you.

The ring

Boxing was where a lot of that came together. The gym gave me discipline, structure and self-belief at a time when I badly needed all three. You learn quickly in there that you get knocked down, you get back up, and you keep your guard up — lessons that turned out to apply just as much to business and to life.

Turning it into fuel

I don't hide where I come from — it's the engine behind everything I've built. It's why I care about mental health and wellbeing, why I invest in the people and ideas I do, and why I try to stay honest about the whole journey, not just the highlight reel.

Over the years I've done paid social media campaign work with renowned global brands as an influencer — creating content, running campaigns and reaching audiences at scale.

Still building

It's something I still do. I continue to have real social media exposure and influence, with an engaged following across all platforms. That reach sits alongside the businesses I build — another way of connecting with people and telling stories that land.
